We’re back!

Sorry the downtime lasted way longer than anticipated.

But now we should be able to run the servers in an even better environment.

We apologize again for the inconvenience!

Stay tuned for FroYo Alpha1 real soon now!

PS: Some notes from our server migration:

  • BEWARE of cgroups-bin on debian! It breaks lxc! Mount cgroups manually or through fstab!
(The error message in this context was ‘lxc-start: No such file or directory – failed to rename cgroup /mnt/cgroups/cpu/20945->/mnt/cgroups/cpu/openaos’ – once we purged cgroups-bin it worked instantly)

Alpha or not it sure beats my buggy latest version rom on my 5it. it’s either your froyo or breaking out the HD and make it a regular external harddrive :)

Just wanted to say thank for all your efforts! I have to say that seeing the latest video on the progess with froyo, it certainly seems promising. I know that you have stated that a stable release is months away but hopefully you may be able to get a public beta out soon. Again, thanks for all your effort!

Can you develop .aos Image which is easy to install(for example DualOS like old Archos 5 IMT)? That was f***in’ silly trick for Archos.. I have purchased my Archos 5IT 500 Gb.. I paid this buggy machine over 450 euros, and they will leak next generation Archos models. It was same trick when I purchased my Archos 5IMT.. but I really wait this FroYo! If I will known something, I will join the developers, but I don’t know anything about this, I must just wait.. :)

If somebody volunteers to help there will be an easier installation procedure some day in the future.

Currently this is at an alpha stage. Please don’t expect anything easy for end-users. This is not meant for end-users yet.

      PS: Tarkkaile kielenkäyttöäsi. KTX

Quite soon, we have an RC. Just need to spin it a bit for some basic QA.
Also working on updated kernel image and initramfs. That’s a bit more tricky and sadly blocks the release until resolved. But if nothing goes wrong we should be out and about today or tomorrow latest.
